See your child’s learning journey at the touch of a buttonPosted 30th July, 2018
Wouldn’t it be amazing to see your child’s learning journey throughout their day, right from your phone? Today your child should have come home with a letter for you to read – and it’s something we’ve been planning for a while and are very excited about.
By the end of August, every single ABC parent will be able to access their child’s learning journey online. It couldn’t be simpler, there’s an app to download, or if you haven’t got access to a smartphone or tablet you can use the website to log in too.
The ParentZone app will contain observations from staff about the activities (both child and adult led) your little one gets up to while at nursery plus photos and videos, and babies will also have daily information about their naps and what they’ve eaten.
But it’s not only for staff to update, we want you as families to get involved too – you can add pictures, comments and let staff know you’ve read any updates.
There are so many advantages: not only will we be doing our bit for the environment by reducing the amount of paper we use to document your child’s nursery journey, it’s also much simpler for you as parents.
If you need to ask us a question but forgot to when you picked your child up, just type us a message on ParentZone. If you want to share something new your little one learned, you can do that too. Or even if you want to see a pattern over time (as you can filter what you see). It’s all there at the touch of a button in your phone, tablet or on your computer.
The roll-out of ParentZone will be happening in three stages, so all baby room families from all four nurseries can log on from Friday (August 3rd), then toddlers from August 17th and pre-school from August 31st.
We’ll soon be uploading a blog explaining in a little more detail how to use the app, so look out for that later in the week!
