Help us raise funds for BBC Children in Need

Posted 14th November, 2017

Every year we turn on our televisions and we are all reduced to tears as we watch BBC Children in Need.

It brings home to us just how many children in the UK really need our help. This year, across our ABC Nurseries, we are planning to raise money for this brilliant cause by doing a number of things and we hope all our parents and children will be able to join in.

At Lightmoor children will be given the opportunity to dress up as a nursery rhyme character (because it’s also Nursery Rhyme week!) or wear spots to raise money for Children in Need. We will be asking children that come dressed up to pay a £1 to raise money for the charity.

At Hadley children can come into nursery wearing their pyjamas and we will be selling cakes on the day to raise money too.

The appeal night officially takes place on November 17 and that’s the day you’ll see these funny outfits on the little ones.
BBC Children in Need is currently supporting 2,400 projects all across the UK.

The projects help children facing a range of disadvantages for example poverty and deprivation; children who have been the victims of abuse or neglect or disabled young people.

We think it’s important to make sure the children in our nurseries are made aware that some children might not be as happy as they are and let them know that we want to help those children to have a better life.

We always try to raise as much money as we can and this year is no different, we’re looking forward to collecting the pennies for this great cause.
Please ask our staff for more details about how we plan to raise money and get involved.
