Hollinswood
The toddler area is split into two sections.
One section is carpeted throughout and facilitates imaginative play and exploration using equipment and activities provided by the staff and chosen by the children. This area is also used for sleep time and quiet activities.
The other section provides an area for messy activities, along with sand and water play. This area is also used at meal times.
The children also have access to an outdoor play area that is used for a variety of activities as well as walks in the surrounding vicinity.
All children are assigned to a key person who will be responsible for the children's learning journeys and development records. These records are available for parents/ carers to read at anytime. We also value and would welcome information contributed from home.
Planning within this area is done on a weekly basis. This is done in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The main aim for toddlers is learning through play with language playing a very important role at this stage of their development: this is reflected within the planning.
