Hadley
Our baby room has two main areas consisting of:-
A large carpeted area, with under floor heating. The toys and equipment we provide are stimulating in order to encourage development and are checked and cleaned on a regular basis.
Leading from the carpeted area is a arch way which leads into a separate sleep area. Within this area we have cots, sleep mats and large cushions for the children to sleep on. We provide all bedding which is stored away in labeled bags. This is a lovely relaxing area as well. At sleep time you will hear classical music being played for the children.
We also have a messy area which is used for art and craft activities and is also used for meal times.
Large windows within the room gives the babies the opportunity to play in natural daylight.
The baby room has its own door leading to a secured outdoor play area. Our outside area is well equipped with a variety of equipment to enhance the children’s development; it also has safety surfaces and grass for the children to play on.
A milk kitchen and changing facilities are provided within the baby room.
The baby room staff will plan the baby room activities on a weekly basis in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) ensuring that play and having fun is a priority, taking into account the babies’ age, routine and stage of development.
All children are assigned to a keyworker who will be responsible for producing their learning journeys and development records. These are available for parents/ carers to read at anytime. We also value and welcome information contributed from home.
